Welcome to the most walkable city (ironic ‘cause I use a wheelchair) where you can probably power through in one or two days, that is IF you’re not run over by a bicycle or IF you don’t fall into a canal. Oh, Amsterdam
I used to do publication design/magazine design and I think it lead me to loving web design, as both require organisation of pictures and text in a specific format. Those skills have led me here, so it's probably why my web design tends to focus on compact, browsable layouts and less visual tricks. But I love visual tricks.. so, it's fun to combine both somewhere in the middle 🙂
After a week of iterations and four rounds of checks, my very first Framer plugin is live! If you want to quickly rid of hidden, off-canvas or other junky layers - this tool if for you 🤩 Free!
Personally, I always end up with a bit of a mess towards the end of a project, so I wanted a quick overview of how "bad" it is, hence, I added a tidiness meter 😃 Sometimes just a few rogue layers. Sometimes.. on that another time. Cheers!
My very first round of nostalgic, anti-design drawings for the new site. A couple made the cut, mostly just the wiggles an zigzags, oh, and the cat! iPad + Pencil + Procreate ✨🤠
Guys! I finished my first plugin!! ✨ This was SO fun. I made a plugin that I know I'd use a lot. My favorite feature is "See Layer" as it zooms in exactly where the culprit layer item is. Try it out, it's free! ✨ Feedback appreciated ✌🏻
My first Framer plugin is cooking! I’m using VS Code + Claude Code, and I learned all of this yesterday.
Here’s the thing. I hate using AI to quickly make something and ship it, whether it’s a flyer, an app, or a website. I love AI when it helps me learn. Everything that once felt impossible, I’m figuring out with Claude. The best part is I’m still tinkering, creating, editing, designing, and debating instead of asking for a finished result. I genuinely feel like a creative director and a maker.
AI really is just another tool.
For my plugin: I finally managed for it to do the thing I need it to do (more on that later) and started figuring the UI and UX 🤩 exciting. I also managed to break the whole thing and terminal and what else not, it’s been a ride.
In 2009 I edited an html to change colors for things on my blog. I felt like I am living in the matrix! Today I (a not-software-developer in any shape) am halfway done building a Framer plugin that, I believe, people could find very, very useful!
Of course, a first is a first! It might suck. But I CAN’T WAIT OMG, I think I AM THE MATRIX.
I put so much effort in this fun instagram carousel and like 2 people saw it, but what saved the day was the actual logitech social media team commented 😭✨ should I put their comment in my CV? There's only one answer
Sound on! 📣 Am I editing the site to be published? Irrelevant. Am I spending an hour editing a cute sound effect tiktok/reel/whatever this is? Yes! Of course! ✨🥹
I am ITCHING to publish the new Jelly studio site 🤩 now we’re gonna squish through (almost literally) for a mobile version, but the desktop one is gonna be the most fun one!
Seeing all the absolutely bonkers hackathon submissions, I'm humbled at least 19 people (including myself of course lol) gave me a lil heart ♥🥹 That's cute af. See my silly switch here: https://www.framer.com/community/contests/agents-hackathon/submissions/Qsrs25Y27Eu2SZxeNqmXn7/
Additionally, for the first time I’m seeing girlies who do framer, like actually real people over here! There’s not a huge amount of us, but we’re here and I see a lot of fresh perspectives from the ladies. 💁🏻♀️🤘🏻✨
Honestly, I’m really liking the framer community aspect; it feels creative without the pollution of politics that X has, without the negativity that reddit can dump on you just while trying your best. Framer community seems to hype each other, get excited for each other and proud of new ideas coming to life.
Please don’t change, be kind, courteous, encouraging and offer valuable feedback and critique. Yay!
I did a Personality Switch! It was important for me to try and participate in this hackathon, even though I wish I had time to perfect things; this was so fun! I could flip thats switch all day.
We are working on a new, interactive, fun, playful, tactile and textured Jelly Studio site; I absolutely CAN’T WAIT to make it live 🥹
