Built Glyphstream for the hackathon: drop in any video and watch it turn into live, animated ASCII in real time, right in the browser.
It's a reusable Framer component, not a one-off effect. The hero is a draggable before/after reveal: original video on one side, live ASCII on the other, both running off the same clip so you're watching it convert as you drag.
Visitors can upload their own video, switch between monochrome and full-color sampled output, tune the detail, and download a frame. It runs as a real production component too, multiple instances per page stay smooth, it's theme-aware, responsive, and respects reduced-motion.
The ASCII look is everywhere in tech branding but almost always faked with static images. This makes it live and interactive, drop it into Framer, point it at a video, no code needed.
