After the marketplace changes, I earned $617 in commissions from June 17 to June 22.
These are recurring commissions from older template conversions, but the sad part is that I haven't seen any fresh commissions since the update. Before the changes, I was receiving new commissions almost every day.
For the past year, I've been earning a decent income from the Framer Marketplace through commissions from my free templates, and it's been my main source of income.
Seeing my template clicks drop from around 100 to just 1 in less than 24 hours after this change has been really discouraging. It's hard not to feel frustrated when you've invested so much time and effort into building something.
I guess this is a reminder that platforms will ultimately make decisions based on what they believe is best for their business, without always considering the creators who have invested countless hours and effort into building on the platform and helping contribute, even in a small way, to its growth and popularity.
Time to start exploring other opportunities as well.
