This is the 15-inch MacBook Pro from 2015 that I’m building FramerKit on

Not the newest machine

But ideas, consistency, and the desire to build matter much more than hardware

FramerKit - the website, the plugin, sections, components, and templates - is being built from here

So if you have an idea, start with what you have

The laptop is just a tool

Create. Keep going. Don’t stop

And one day, you’ll post a photo with a new MacBook and two simple words:

“Thank you, Framer”

I recently started checking FramerKit's ranking on FramerRanks

I have a lot of respect for everyone building plugins for the Framer ecosystem, so seeing FramerKit reach #30 out of almost 850 plugins genuinely means a lot to me.

Today I finished all of the Light Card previews. Now every card opens as a real component instead of just a preview image

It uses a new interactive Aura Ring that reacts to your cursor, comes with several built-in color palettes, and also lets you create your own colors directly inside Framer

I've been building a new interactive Aura Ring component for the background. It reacts to hover, includes a few ready-made color palettes, and also supports fully custom colors

It looks much better in action than in a screenshot

I’ve been working on a new component viewer for FramerKit for the second day now

Previously, clicking a component card only opened a static preview image. Now the new flow is ready: it opens a dedicated page with the real component, so you can preview how it actually looks and behaves before copying it

I’m now gradually moving the rest of the components to this new preview format

One thing I've noticed is that we're surrounded by incredibly talented designers and developers

I love seeing everyone's work, but I'd also love to see more conversations, new friendships, collaborations, and simply getting to know the people behind the projects.

I was born in Belarus and now live in Georgia

Outside of building FramerKit, I love traveling, playing the ukulele, and discovering new places

It's not finished yet, but here's a small preview of the current progress 🙂

I've realized what keeps me motivated to keep building FramerKit

Every day I find something that can be improved

Sometimes it's a new section

Sometimes it's redesigning an old one

Sometimes it's a better workflow, a smoother interaction, or a small detail that most people will never notice

As long as I can finish the day knowing FramerKit is better than it was yesterday, I know I'm moving in the right direction

The last image is one of the very first versions of FramerKit

Back then, I was just happy to see an idea that had only existed in my head finally start coming to life

Today it's sections, components, templates, a website, and a plugin

And tomorrow, hopefully, it'll be even better 🙂

A quick look at how template previews work in FramerKit 👀

The plugin panel is quite narrow, so I didn't like the idea of making the template card itself scroll on hover. It also conflicted with clicking and dragging templates onto the canvas

So I decided to approach it differently

Hover over any template and a dedicated preview panel on the right lets you scroll through the entire page, while the gallery itself keeps working normally

Once you find the right one, just drag it into Framer. It automatically adapts to every breakpoint ✨

With Framer's built-in AI, I think this workflow has become even more powerful

Starting with a complete wireframe structure and using AI to refine the content and design feels much more efficient than spending tokens generating the initial layout from scratch 🤖
