September Review

Started fresh again from last month, I earned about $200 from 4 affiliates.

3 weeks ago, I released new template and it reached #3 in my category (Trends), it's now ranked #7. After updating my old template Kunstler, the rank raised a lot with a new conversion. It's not on Dub so might be student plan, but it means they find it useful. Funny thing is, I did nothing on the other old template, the Lena. And the rank raised together.

I never thought I could earn even a little money from a template. I only started making one because I needed it.

Happy to see that I've made something useful for others! and it helps me too.

This month, I am planning:

- A major update for my old, abandoned template Lena. I want to make it feel more poetic.

- Release an e-commerce template for digital products.

- Maybe create a premium version of my existing free template by adding a shop page.

Making new projects for website.

I thought about creating e commerce templates. Learning by copying/tweaking the good references. But then I started questioning... what's the point of making an ecommerce template for Framer? Actually I already created all product assets, and was trying to make campaign vids. Then... If I'm going to spend the same amount of time collecting and creating content and building a brand, I could make something I actually like.

Maybe it'll be my digital garden, maybe it'll be an e-commerce theme for drop shipping(we had a dream..), or maybe it'll just become a template.

Just simple remix idea for template Erika.

I like seeing the index list inside each project. I couldn't get the anchor links working in the project list page, but you can still add the list to your project detail pages to show where you are.

Current(on progress) -> Before

Still working on updating the old template. It's actually taking so much time!

The unknown components that I don't remember, fonts that I used once, some unnecessary layers and so on(yeah...it was my very first template)

Work detail page improved a lot. The biggest struggle right now is hunting for project images with a consistent vibe and color.

Where do you guys find nice images except Lummi?

Fixing my first template Kunstler.

I made it last year when my journey with Framer started. After Framer 3.0, I was able to publish it on the marketplace (honestly, now I see why it never passed the submission before). I had been neglecting it and rather created a new template, which is doing well!

But I was surprised to see that my first template still make some affiliate revenue, so I am finally trying to make it look better.

I was struggling how to make date formatting better, to make it easier to change by user. Then realized actually it was super simple...Just option field on CMS!

Updated my template for the better date formatting! From DD.MM to MMM DD, you can set it from CMS page.

Made my first sale after releasing my new template, took a week! Can't compare with other popular designers making 1k a month, but so happy to see someone found mine useful.

Anyway to celebrate, gonna add second home effect on my template 😁

Lena is designed for contemporary artists who want to showcase their portfolios alongside exhibition and event updates in a beautifully minimal layout. The 'Work' section offers two distinct layouts to choose from. You can stick to one or mix and match both, which is especially useful when presenting a series of artworks under different titles.
