A little branding exploration for OCEN.
A few different visual directions I am exploring for OCEN.
A few visual elements and graphic assets I designed for my first branding concept.
I just redesigned again my portfolio website after 2 weeks
Here is why: 👇
I shared my portfolio preview on Reddit, Twitter, and Xiaohongshu, and I received most of my feedback from Reddit. I really enjoy talking to people this way because it feels like an agile sprint where I can constantly gather real, honest opinions to improve my work.
Here is what I actually changed in this redesign:
- On the homepage, I unified all sections to sit within the exact same container width so the entire flow looks visually cohesive.
- For typography, I added Inter as a clean, highly readable font to make all the copy and project details easier to read.
- I also added sound effects using Cuelume just for fun and interaction.
Sometimes I already know deep down that something in my design feels off, but I cannot convince myself to change it. Hearing outside perspectives gave me the exact push and validation I needed to commit to the redesign.
In this current era where AI is flooding the design field, I believe building in public and doing UI UX directly with real people is more important than ever. My portfolio is built to serve people, not machines, so people's opinions genuinely matter to me.
It might seem like I cannot hold my own ground or stand by my design decisions, but I genuinely believe I need this kind of human interaction so I can keep improving my work.
I am still new to this field, and I know there are many designers and engineers out there who are far more experienced and skilled than I am. Taking feedback directly and redesigning my live site is one of the most important parts of my personal journey to level up my skills.
I would love to hear your honest thoughts and critique on my new layout. I am also currently open to freelance website design and frontend projects. Feel free to send me a DM if you would like to work together or talk about a project.

What I love most about the builder community on framer:
Everyone is so accessible, kind, and willing to share feedback no matter where they are in their journey.
Forever grateful for this space 🫶 Keep building, everyone!
Work in progress
If you're building right now and feeling like nobody is noticing your work, remember that every big journey had weeks of quiet building first.
Keep showing up 👊
Design for how people actually behave, not how you wish they would behave.
Keep showing up, keep refining your craft, and keep shipping with care. The compounding results will surprise you.
Master the basics of typography, spacing, and contrast before chasing the latest aesthetic trends.
Do not worry about competitors copying your design. They can copy what you did yesterday, but not your vision for tomorrow.

People do not buy software tools. They buy the outcome that the tool gives them.
If your website takes more than two seconds to load on mobile, you are losing half your visitors.
Taking a two hour walk outside solved a design layout problem that I was stuck on all morning.
