Ever since the Marketplace update, it's been consistently featured on the trending page, and the most common feedback has been: "There's no way this should be free"
Would making it paid actually increase its perceived value, or would it hurt the reputation and reach it's built as a free resource?

I have opinions about the new @Framer Marketplace/Community update.
But since everyone's already talking about the problem, I want to talk about the solution and what I think the right move is from now on.
Everyone is saying "build an audiance" but no one explains how, so here's what I will be doing in the next 6 months:
→ Go all-in on ONE niche
→ Raise prices to match the value
→ Make the buying and checkout smoother
→ Write real docs and tutorials for every template
→ List on other directories, not just Framer
→ A page I own for each template, built to for SEO/AEO
→ Capture emails with free content and add-ons
→ Build in public: demos, before/afters
→ Test IG, TikTok, LinkedIn, Reddit
→ Test paid ads once the funnel converts
And putting everything under one brand and a registered company, so this scales like a real business, not a side hustle that depends on one feed.
Let me know if you have something I missed!
