A bit of David Carson RAY GUN magazines cover. A touch of grunge. A very '90s aesthetic.

In the Mood for Love is a film by Wong Kar-wai where every frame, every costume, every scene is crafted with obsessive attention to detail.

Its color palette and cinematography remind me of what feels like a growing visual direction today.

Shopify embraced it. Contra is embracing it now. And it's spreading far beyond the tech world.

There's something compelling about blending romance with cyberpunk.
