ElasmOcean

ElasmOcean is an ocean conservation non-profit with a focus on sharks. Their mission is to make marine science understandable, so the site had to feel like the ocean and read like a good magazine.

Large, calm underwater photography sets the mood. The content follows three simple questions: what is happening to the ocean, what ElasmOcean does about it, and who they are. A mega menu with short teasers puts every topic one click away, and on hover the buttons fill up with a rolling wave, like water rising.
