About STRD Studio
The STRD Studio website introduces a Melbourne short-form video studio through motion and type. Visitors are welcomed by an orange loading curtain that lifts to reveal a clean white hero, where the STRD STUDIO wordmark rises letter by letter, then morphs through a loop of chunky 70s display typefaces. Beneath it, the line “Hard to scroll past. Harder to forget.” sits next to a single orange call to action.
As you scroll, the showreel starts at 80% size and expands until it fills the screen. A bold statement then pieces itself together from scattered letters while the page fades from white into black. The Recent work section is an endlessly looping strip of vertical reels that visitors can drag, flick or click to zoom.
Further down, an About section pairs large headlines with sticky media, and the services list swells in weight on hover, with a video preview following the cursor. A clear process timeline, transparent packages, a short FAQ and a contact form with a budget dropdown make it easy to get in touch. A floating segmented navigation bar, rolling hover labels and looping button arrows tie the experience together. The footer closes with a giant “LET’S TALK”, legal pages and an Acknowledgement of Country.
The design uses a restrained palette of white, black and STRD orange, with clean sans-serif type. Every animation respects reduced-motion settings, so the site stays accessible as well as expressive.
