Design the empty state, not the demo state.
Every template demo is stuffed with perfect content: six case studies, a full logo wall, three glowing testimonials. The buyer ships with one project and two logos.
So the version that actually goes live is the sparse one, and that is where most templates fall apart. One logo looks lost in a six-slot grid. A single testimonial in a three-card row reads like nobody else has bought in yet.
What I do now: design the one-item state first, then scale up. A logo row that centers and sizes gracefully with three logos. A testimonials section that still looks intentional with one quote. A projects grid that does not leave two empty holes when someone has four pieces instead of six.
Build the thin version first. The full demo takes care of itself.
