A small Framer habit that saves me hours on every template:
Set up color and type as styles, and spacing as variables, before I design a single section. Not after.
Here is why it matters: when a buyer remixes the template, they change the brand in one place and the whole site updates cleanly. Hardcode a hex here and a font size there, and it looks great in my preview but falls apart the moment someone makes it theirs.
For illustration-led sites I do the same with the art: one set of SVGs, consistent stroke widths, exported from a single source so nothing drifts.
A template is not done when it looks good. It is done when a stranger can make it theirs without breaking it.
