We found the 1930 International Atlas of Clouds and States of the Sky a few days ago and got a little obsessed with it.
The archive pairs early cloud photography with hand-drawn diagrams, annotations and classifications. It feels scientific, but also strangely playful and beautiful.
So we built this small Framer experiment to explore the collection in a more visual way. An infinite canvas where you can move through the archive, overlay each drawing on its photograph and unfold the original plate.
Mostly built to play around with the interaction and give this brilliant old archive a new interface!
