About Page Transitions

Page Transitions is a Framer page transition component for animated navigation between internal pages. Cover the current page and reveal the next with wipes, strips, tiles, splits, or a circular reveal.

Features

  • Ten styles, including Curtain Wipe, Grid Tiles, and Split Slide.

  • Ordinary internal links to a different page path trigger the cover.

  • External links, anchors, query changes, downloads, new-tab clicks, Back/Forward, and programmatic navigation bypass the cover.

What you can customize

  • Panel colors, duration, easing, and covered pause.

  • Style-dependent direction, strip counts, grid sizes, two-color panels, and stagger order.

  • Use one visible, enabled instance in a shared layout or on each page. In Stacks, set new instances to Fixed or Absolute to avoid gaps.

  • The overlay uses z-index 999; higher layers and top-layer dialogs can appear above it.

Best for

  • Multi-page portfolios adding cover-and-reveal animations between internal pages.

  • Agency websites connecting service pages, project indexes, and case studies with consistent transitions.

  • Creative studio websites matching page transition colors and timing to their brand.

  • Editorial and brand websites using curtain wipes, strips, tiles, or circular page reveals.

  • Framer websites using ordinary internal links and a shared layout for coordinated navigation effects.
