Realtime CMS Search

About

Realtime search any CMS collection based on what's visible. The entire appearance of the search bar is customizable. Setting up takes <10 seconds with two different methods for setting up search. You can search one or more collections using the override method similar to the search we have on our navbar.

Instructions

The first method is extremely simple.

1. You just drag, drop the component

2. Connect it to the CMS

3. Configure& Preview

The second method uses overrides and is slightly slower but it's bullet proof against all future CMS updates, to set this method up,

1. Add the aria label "cmsitem" to individual CMS item

2. Apply the search override on the CMS collection

3. Using this method, you can search one or more CMS collection

4. Preview

How It Works

You can connect it to a Collection List component to search through. You can style the search input box, adjusting things like padding, font size, colors, and border properties. There are also options for styling the search results.

You can choose between vertical, horizontal, or grid layouts for the results. For grid layouts, you can set the number of columns and adjust spacing. For other layouts, you can set the gap between results.
