Core Functionality
This is a comprehensive video player component that supports three video sources: YouTube, Vimeo, and uploaded video files. It displays a thumbnail with a play button overlay that opens videos in a lightbox modal when clicked.
Multi-platform support
YouTube, Vimeo, and direct file uploads. Automatic thumbnail generation: Automatically generates thumbnails from YouTube, Vimeo, and uploaded videos.

Thumbnails: Auto-generated + custom override
Play Button: Default SVG or custom image, customizable (color, size, opacity, radius, position)
Hover Interactions: Autoplay (off/on/loop), mute/unmute, show/hide controls, fade/scale effects
Lightbox Modal: Fullscreen overlay, autoplay, 16:9 scaling, ESC/overlay close, scroll lock, close button
Styling: Responsive layout, border radius, overlay color, proper scaling/cropping
Controls Structure: Organized into Video Source, Play Button, Hover, and Global settings
Compatibility
Tested with carousel, ticker, and slideshow components, and it works perfectly with all of them.
