Dawnsill

Dawnsill is a website template for small hotels, guesthouses and B&Bs that sell their rooms on atmosphere.

The home page opens inside a guest room rendered in real time. As visitors scroll, the sun moves across one day: light comes through the French window and crosses the oak floor, the bed and the reading chair, the curtains glow, the bed is turned down at seven, the lamps come on and night falls over the harbour. At each hour an in-room card explains one thing the hotel does, from breakfast in bed to late checkout.

The rest of the site uses the room-key and in-room-card look: keys on a brass rail, house rules on a registration card, the menu on a menu card.

Limitations: the 3D room is fixed (edit its text, not its furniture); it needs WebGL. Book is an enquiry form, not a booking engine.
