The client’s previous website was outdated and had been ready for a modern refresh for quite some time. With my project management experience, I was able to move the project forward quickly while carefully incorporating the client’s specific requirements.

The result is a clean, modern website that goes beyond presentation: from dedicated subpages for arts funding initiatives to integrated online forms that simplify client intake.

In collaboration with NotaNow, whose technology powers the online forms, the website now offers an efficient digital touchpoint for both the firm and its clients.

A strong example of how thoughtful design, clear structure, and practical digital tools can turn a website into a genuinely useful part of everyday operations.

A few days ago I designed this website in Figma.

Seeing it come to life in Framer is honestly incredible. The interactions, the motion, the tiny details. They completely change how the design feels.

Found this while digging through my portfolio archive today.

One of my very first client projects. Back then I had virtually no formal graphic design knowledge, no understanding of grids, hierarchy, spacing systems, or most of the design principles I use every day now.

Looking at it today, I can spot countless things I would approach differently. It probably breaks more layout and design rules than it follows. 😄

But despite all of that, I still think it’s a good piece of work.

Why? Because it worked.

The logo is still being used today in Bamberg, the city where I was born and raised. Seeing something I created years ago continue to exist in the real world is a reminder that every designer starts somewhere.

This project was far from perfect, but it was the beginning. And for that reason, I’m still proud of it.

Sometimes growth isn’t about looking back and seeing mistakes. It’s about realizing how far you’ve come!

Figma vs. Framer

Curious how everyone is working these days.

For years, my process was simple: design everything in Figma, review it with the client, make refinements, then build it in Framer.

But with Framer becoming more powerful every month, I’m starting to question whether that extra step is always necessary.

Are you still designing full projects in Figma first and then moving them into Framer?

Or have you started building directly in Framer and skipping the traditional handoff altogether?

I still see a lot of value in Figma for strategy, workshops, and larger design systems, but I’m noticing my workflow slowly shifting.

How are you approaching projects in 2026?

🚀 From concept to launch.

A few weeks ago, this project started as a blank canvas in Figma. Together with the client, we used workshops and meetings to develop the content, structure, and user experience directly within the design process. Step by step, it evolved into a digital product built to meet the high standards of the aerospace industry.

After multiple iterations, feedback sessions, and the final design refinements, we reached another major milestone today: development in Framer has officially begun.

What makes this project especially exciting is not only the technical and creative challenge, but also the opportunity to support a company operating within the space industry. 🌍✨

This is currently the largest and most ambitious project of my career, and I am incredibly grateful for the trust placed in me. I am looking forward to bringing the final vision to life and sharing the finished result soon.

Great design is more than aesthetics. It is the result of collaboration, clear processes, and the ability to transform complex topics into meaningful digital experiences.

It all started with graphic design.

At some point, I began asking myself why I should only design websites instead of building them myself. So I dove deeper into web design, UI/UX, and Figma, looking for a way to become more independent.

Then I discovered Framer.

Suddenly, I could do more than just create concepts. I could turn them into fully functional websites. That gave me the confidence to take the leap into self-employment.

In 2025, I launched my own brand, Gads.studio, bringing together web design, UI/UX, branding, and digital solutions under one roof.

Today, I work with businesses that want to strengthen their digital presence and create better experiences for their customers. Every project reminds me how much is possible when you’re willing to keep learning and embrace new opportunities.

FinanzCode was created with a clear goal: helping businesses and entrepreneurs navigate financial topics with more clarity, confidence, and structure.

For this project, I focused on creating a professional digital presence that communicates trust, expertise, and reliability from the very first interaction. Especially in the financial sector, good design is not just about aesthetics. It is about making complex information understandable and creating confidence through a clear user experience.

Projects like FinanzCode remind me that great websites do more than look good. They help businesses communicate their value, build credibility, and connect with the right audience.

What started as a client project became something much bigger.

Through Cowinia, a client became a friend, and a website evolved into a shared vision. Together, we’re building a platform that connects talented people with businesses that need the right expertise to grow.

Our mission is simple: bring talent and companies together while helping both sides move forward through better marketing, stronger digital presence, and modern business processes.

For me, this project is a reminder that the best opportunities often emerge from genuine relationships. Sometimes a project is not the end result. Sometimes it is the beginning of an entirely new business.

My first client project of 2025 marked a major turning point in my career.

Until then, I had mainly worked as a Figma web designer, focusing on concepts, interfaces, and user experiences. This project became one of the key milestones that encouraged me to take the leap into freelancing.

For Dr. Tennie, I designed and developed a professional website tailored to the legal and notarial sector, with a strong focus on trust, clarity, accessibility, and a modern digital presence.

What started as a single project evolved into a long term focus. Since then, I have continued working with law firms, notaries, and legal professionals across Germany, helping them present complex services in a way that feels approachable, trustworthy, and easy to understand.

Looking back, this website was more than just another client project. It represented the beginning of my journey as an independent designer.

One of the most personal projects I’ve worked on was building a website for my mother’s beauty studio. It took far more time than expected because, as many designers know, family can often be the most challenging client. 😄

I’m grateful that we reached a result she’s truly happy with. My goal was to create a professional online presence that reflects her experience, passion, and the quality of her work in cosmetics and permanent makeup.

I’m excited to see how this new chapter supports her business growth and helps her attract new clients. Projects like this remind me how meaningful good design can be when it’s built for someone you care about.
