Framer this week (Aug 6–12):
Video Shaders is now live, bringing images and video to life with chromatic aberration and mouse interactions. The Agent model picker now includes Reasoning and Fast Mode. The August Community update introduces a Likes tab, mobile Buy/Use Free buttons, LinkedIn profiles, and Contact creator.
A brief third-party analytics outage was resolved the same day.
The biggest discussion this week centered on post-3.0 Marketplace concerns. Creators reported significant sales drops, attributing them to the surge of low-quality and AI-generated templates after the review process was relaxed. Jorn acknowledged the issue, and the team is focused on discovery and ranking while asking for specific feedback.

LA VEILLE №06
Framer just shipped CMS 3.1 with Agent support woven through the entire collection: adding rows as context, working with field dividers, navigating pages, selecting collections. On its own it's a small quality-of-life update — but zoom out.
In two weeks Framer has rolled out Sonnet 5 (July 1), Fable 5 (July 3), the GPT 5.6 lineup — Sol, Terra, Luna (July 9), and now CMS 3.1 (July 14). Four agent-focused releases. Every recent shipping decision points the same direction.
Framer isn't just adding AI features anymore; it's rebuilding the canvas as an agent workspace, where the designer directs and the agents execute.
Already 50 designers have used this free portfolio template in just 2 days.
It helps web and graphic designers showcase their work with 3D effects and a built-in contact form.

Looks like the motion post really resonated with you all — deeper, cooler posts on motion design are already on the list 👀
LA VEILLE №05
Figma just held Config 2026, and the headline feature is code layers — any design layer can now become a live, interactive code layer, with entire GitHub repos importable straight onto the canvas.
Alongside it: native timeline-based animation (Figma Motion) with 3D transforms and code export, AI-generated shaders, and generative plugins you build just by prompting an agent. Figma isn't just chasing Framer & Webflow's canvas-to-live-site model anymore — it's trying to own design, motion, and code on one surface.
L'ART №01
@Framer's 3D — perspective, rotation, depth — moves a flat plane through space. It still can't bend the plane itself. That takes a mesh, and a mesh means WebGL.
Try to make something ripple or curve in Framer. You can tilt it. You can't warp it.
Even though this incredible free portfolio already looks strong, it would be even better with a real WebGL integration.
