What's your most desired feature request? Aside from a limitation with the architecture, I can't for the life of me work out why Framer hasn't prioritised Global Variables.
It is such a time sink for us designers.
I'm even flirting with some other products just because of this issue!
What do you like to do to help your clients use their site well once you hand it over?
It occurred to me that making a Draft page with key blocks on and instructions could be really helpful. They just duplicate and delete what they don't need.
What do you find clients struggle with most?
Before handing a site over to clients, I have a tidy-up list where I remove duplicate components, hidden items and extra things on the canvas.
What's on your list? And have you ever left anything in the clients files by accident? 🙈
How do people deal with components and swapping out H tags for accessibility? Like this overline tag for example... quite a few ways to achieve something like this and mine felt a bit fussy. How would you solve it to make it easy for clients to edit?
When text-wrap: balance is too much, I like to apply text-wrap: pretty through a code override. It ensures you don't get orphans with only a single word on a final line.

Why is everyone so obsessed with liquid glass? I've not found it remotely interesting since the moment it was showcased on ios etc. Am I missing something? It seems like a technical achievement yes, but not much of a design one. I dunno. Does it actually improve visibility during layering as opposed to a blur or opacity? 🤔

Another scrolling gallery I made. Except this time, it's stacking... or sort of splatting. I think it could work well for some stickers or fun icons maybe. What would you use it for?
I submitted a component yesterday and I'm glad to say that the review process is alive and well! (It got rejected!)
It's an extremely complicated component, so it's genuinely helpful and reassuring to have the feedback - and to know that strict standards for code and performance are still required for marketplace.
This is even through what I can only assume is an automated code review process.
I made an unstacking gallery. It's interesting how the effect changes when you start to remove the randomisation effects. Still pretty cool, but not quite as fun.

I built myself an "Unstacking Gallery" that throws cards as you scroll. A little bit of randomisation of rotation and distance and it feels so natural, I love it.
Anyone willing to share their thoughts on this? I'm genuinely curious. Just recently I realised you can do things like adding horizontal parallax to individual objects using code overrides
I'm curious whether others have a library of code overrides that they use on a regular basis? What sort of problems do they solve for you?
I have a few that cover little CSS fixes which are handy. But apart from that... I wonder what people use them for? It's a bit of a hidden part of the Framer world.
I've used the new Agent features in quite a few ways already, but at this stage, the credits run out so quick that I find myself back in my old setup still:
- I use Gemini, with a bespoke Framer Gem populated with files from the Framer docs.
- I then copy and paste the code over after each update into code components.
It's a bit of a pain, but I get great results for Creating components and code overrides, and I have endless credits. I find that even the agents in Framer are not as well primed with Framer-ready code - sometimes not using relevant control types etc.
What do you think?
Anyone else finding that all {subdomain}.framer.website domains are down? It's been like this for a few hours with no mention in framerstatus.com
Anyone else wished that you could hide variables from the client depending on when they are relevant? E.g. A component where you toggle between Image / Video. Currently it seems like there is no way to hide the image file variant when Video is selected and vice versa.
I figure it could help clean things up a bit for clients and create clarity.

It's SO much better.
For certain clients, you want to avoid them using the canvas altogether. But getting CMS collections into a carousel can be a bit of a nightmare. We needed a style-agnostic carousel that could do all the custom design things that we wanted, but still using our normal Collection Lists.
So I built this component to solve the problem. And it works a treat. Check it out:
