Fortune Cookie
An interactive fortune cookie you can actually crack. Built as a single Framer code component, it turns a simple idea into a tactile, shareable little moment: tap the cookie, watch it snap open in 3D, and read the fortune that unfurls from inside. It is playful, polished, and fully customizable, with no background and a transparent canvas so it drops cleanly into any layout.
The crack
The cookie is hand-built pixel art that splits along a jagged fracture line into two halves, which spring apart with real 3D rotation and perspective. While it sits intact, it floats gently and tilts toward your cursor, so it feels like a real object before you have even touched it. You can crack it two ways: a click, or by grabbing and pulling it apart. On mobile, a haptic buzz fires the moment it breaks.
The reveal
The fortune begins tucked inside the cookie, then scales up out of the gap as the halves separate. A soft glow blooms behind it and sparkles twinkle around it, and the text types itself on, character by character, for a slow, magical reveal. The fortune sits on a clean white paper strip with a subtle stroke and a soft drop shadow,
sized so it never overlaps the controls beneath it.
Sound design
Every crack is scored with synthesized audio (no asset files required): a crisp snap with a low thud for weight, a paper rustle as the slip emerges, and a gentle chime on the reveal. A mute toggle is always one tap away.
The fortunes
Dozens of fortunes written in three voices: timeless fortune-cookie wisdom, a set tuned for designers and Framer, and a set for the AI-coding era. You can edit, add, or replace any of them.
The golden cookie
A rare golden cookie appears at a chance you control. When it does, the whole experience levels up: the cookie turns gold, golden crumbs burst out, a richer chime plays, and a special jackpot fortune appears on a gold-trimmed slip with a "Golden Fortune" badge. It is the kind of surprise that makes people crack again.
