SketchReveal is a Framer component that turns any image into a pen sketch that draws itself on. Drop in a photo and it redraws as hand-style line art, then shades it your way: hatched lines, solid tone, or halftone dots. Ink color, line weight, detail, draw speed, and a background remover are all dials, and it replays as it scrolls into view.
Everything runs live in the browser. It traces the image, links the edges into continuous strokes, and animates them in sequence like a pen moving across paper, then shades the darker areas in your chosen style and color. Nothing is pre-rendered, so any photo works.
I built the component by connecting Claude Code to my Framer project as an external agent. The hero section was built with the Framer agent.
Great for hero sections, portfolios, product reveals, and "coming soon" pages, anywhere you want a photo to feel hand-drawn and arrive with a little motion.
