Hi, I'm FRED. I build premium templates solo since a few months now.
No agency. No team. Just me, Framer, and an obsession for detail.
Here's how I got here (and why I almost quit twice) 🧵
First of all, I'm a former freelancer who managed web design projects, specifically landing pages for small businesses like hairdressers, restaurants, bakeries, etc. I never wanted to follow the classic path, so I decided to take matters into my own hands and build a community.
I gave it my all on Instagram until I built a community of 12k followers. I thought that all the clients would just rain down on me, but I quickly hit a wall... nothing changed. The same struggles, the client hunt in freelance mode. Sure, millions of views, but no real conversion. I was fed up and decided to stop everything to find a job in an agency....
That's when I came across a publication about the Framer Challenge 1 (the results) and I immediately changed my perspective. The achievements realized by the Framer community members were just fascinating.
So I did my research, I searched, and I decided to start over from scratch here on X. I left Instagram, with its views just for views, to build a solid brand and a website template business here on X.

I spend a lot of time looking at other creators' work and I'm addicted to it. It helps me get into the right mindset.
How is your moodboard?
Most agencies have the same debate when building their website, from what I've observed here on X:
"Do we do something visually stunning, or do we focus on conversion?"
For my part, I think that:
A site that impresses but doesn't convert = a portfolio.
A site that converts but doesn't impress = a form.
The real work is the order of the two.
Hero → provoke a scroll stop
Section 2 → name the prospect's exact pain
Section 3 → concrete results, not features
Section 4 → hard numbers as proof
Section 5 → 3-step process
Section 6 → testimonials with real numbers
Section 7 → a single CTA, zero distractions
This is what I integrated into my Framer template for AI agencies.
Each section has a precise role in the prospect's journey.

$: Do they already pay?
Here, it's about exploring the market, finding templates that are already selling = the niche buys.
👥: Is the audience accessible? Where are they?
Where do they gather (X, LinkedIn, IG)? Here to know where I clearly need to be active.
🔍: Are they actively looking for new solutions?
🔄: Is it a recurring need?
Is a new client model constantly emerging?

Building before knowing for whom.
Result: a week wasted. But also total clarity on the direction.
My goal is truly to build a quality website template business, and to do that I must understand: for whom? How? Why?
The current trend is AI, and it translates well through the creation of multiple AI agencies and SaaS that all have purely generic AI websites 🤖 It's in this sense that, after validating the idea, it will be about launching the creation of an excellent template for tech niches with real added value.
