Making assessments less of a burden for teachers

AssessPrep is an assessment platform for schools that helps teachers create, deliver, grade, and analyze assessments in one place. It supports everything from interactive quizzes to high-stakes exams, with AI helping teachers create questions and mark schemes faster.

The Challenge

Assessments take a lot of time.

Teachers have to create questions, format papers, manage exams, grade submissions, and then figure out what the results actually mean.

AssessPrep brings all of that together, so the challenge was making a platform with a lot of functionality feel simple and useful.

The Design

I wanted the assessment cycle to be the main story.

Instead of presenting AssessPrep as a long list of features, the website follows the actual workflow — create the assessment, deliver it securely, grade it, and use the results to understand where students need help.

That makes the product much easier to understand without needing to explain every feature upfront.

Showing the Product

The product visuals do most of the work.

Interactive question types, secure testing tools, grading, analytics, and the question bank are shown through the interface rather than being explained with long blocks of copy.

The AI side gets its own space too, showing how teachers can generate questions and mark schemes instead of starting everything from scratch.

The Result

The final direction makes AssessPrep feel less like another school management tool and more like a platform built around making assessments easier for everyone involved.

The idea behind the design is simple:

Create better assessments. Spend less time managing them. Give teachers more time to teach.
