Building a control layer for AI-powered operations

Forest is an operational infrastructure platform for regulated companies. It brings humans, AI agents, workflows, data, and external tools into one system while keeping permissions, compliance, and audit trails under control.

The Challenge

The product is solving a pretty complex problem.

Regulated companies already have databases, compliance providers, internal teams, AI agents, and a lot of different tools involved in their operations.

Forest sits between all of them.

The challenge was making that idea understandable without turning the website into a technical architecture diagram.

The Design

I wanted the operational layer to be the main story.

The website shows Forest sitting between the company's data, teams, AI agents, and external providers. From there, it explains what happens inside that layer — workflows, permissions, business logic, approvals, and audit trails.

This makes the product easier to understand because you can see where Forest fits before getting into the technical details.

The Result

The final direction makes a highly technical product feel much more approachable while keeping the enterprise and compliance side intact.
