Who they are:
Imperfect Creatives is a Brisbane studio that trains actors and makes film. They run classes and workshops, shoot self-tapes, showreels and headshots, take on production work and run education programs for schools.
How we work:
Every Sparo project starts with brand and UX strategy. Before anything is designed, we work out who the business needs to reach, what those people need to see and how the brand should make them feel. The brand, the customer journey and the website are all built on that thinking.
The challenge:
Their WordPress site was trying to speak to actors, production clients and schools at once, and none of them had a clear path through it. The brand had started to feel too young, while competitors felt cold and corporate.
What we did:
Strategy. We mapped each audience and what they need to see first. We also set a tone that sits between playful and professional, so the brand works for a first-time actor and for a production client.
Creative direction. Before their shoot, we gave them two photography and colour concepts. The refreshed palette uses deep teals as the anchor, with warm accents and a soft cream to balance it.
Customer journey. Actors, production clients and schools each get their own route to the right part of the business, usually within a click or two.
Framer build. The homepage is led by their own film, with video and text that reveal as you scroll. We moved everything off WordPress and redirected the old URLs to protect their search rankings.
