An interactive 3D globe and map for Framer that lets visitors search any location, smoothly fly across the world, and seamlessly transition from a rotating globe to a detailed map as they zoom in.
MapExplorerGlobe works right out of the box with free map data—no API key required—or you can connect your own Mapbox access token for premium styles and rendering.
Choose between two providers:
Free: Powered by MapLibre with Streets, Satellite, Dark, Light, Terrain, and Voyager styles.
Mapbox: Supports Streets, Satellite Streets, Outdoors, Light, Dark, Navigation Day, and Navigation Night.
Visitors can search for places or enter coordinates, instantly flying to the selected location with a dropped pin. A built-in Locate Me button centers on the user's current location, while Reset View returns to the default globe.
The interactive 3D globe features a subtle atmosphere effect and optional idle auto-rotation that pauses during interaction. You can also disable globe mode for a permanent flat map or choose whether the component opens on the globe or a default location.
Clicking a pin opens a floating location card with the place name, address, optional image, phone number, and email. The card stays attached to the pin as the map moves and supports clickable phone and email links.
Everything is customizable from Framer's Properties panel, including pin and accent colors, corner radius, default location and zoom, plus toggles for the search bar, style switcher, locate button, reset button, coordinate display, and location card.
The component includes a fixed 450 × 350 default size to ensure it always displays correctly when added to your canvas.
