Framer 3 launched, and marketplace change is the main topic everyone is talking about right now.
Some people love it. Some people hate it. Whether it's good or bad, only time will tell. I'm sure the Framer team has its reasons behind the decisions.
The one thing I hoped wouldn't change too much was the review process.
Most of us know that feeling when a template finally gets approved after multiple iterations and a few review cycles. It genuinely feels like you've earned something.
Building a template is already an accomplishment, but getting it approved felt like a second one.
That's why I'm not a huge fan of the review process being removed in Framer 3. For me, it takes away some of the excitement and sense of achievement that came with publishing something on the Marketplace.
Of course, things will keep changing, and some of these changes might lead to something even better in the long run. Whatever happens, happens for a reason.
But personally, I'd love to see the review process come back in some form. I think it added value to the experience and made Marketplace submissions feel more meaningful.
