👋 Hey Framer Community! Just wanted to share some thoughts on the current state of the Framer Marketplace.
Lately, I’ve been spending a lot of time analyzing the marketplace dynamics, looking at what scales, and thinking about how our roles as Framer creators are changing.
When Framer first blew up, a lot of the focus was on flashy animations and landing pages. But looking at the marketplace today, it feels like the ecosystem is maturing into something much deeper.
💡 Here are a few reflections from my end:
From "Pretty Sites" to "Business Solutions": The templates that truly stand out now are the ones addressing specific business needs. Whether it's a high-converting portfolio for premium creators or a polished marketing hub for a tech startup, utility is overtaking pure eye-candy.
The Power of Scalable Architecture: Building a template is no longer just about the visual layout. It's about how easy it is for a non-designer to customize. Clean naming conventions, smart component variants, and robust CMS setups are what build true value and trust.
Figma-to-Framer Synergy: The closer our Framer structures mimic a scalable Figma design system, the faster we can ship high-quality assets. It’s a superpower for product designers who want to bridge the gap between concept and code.
The marketplace is growing fast, and while that means more competition, it also means the bar for quality is being raised—which is amazing for the community.
I’m curious to hear from other creators here: What’s your biggest focus when building for the marketplace right now? Are you focusing on expanding niche layouts, or perfecting advanced interactions?
Let’s chat in the comments! 🚀
