About Email Composer
An email link that opens into a letter. Visitors click your address and it flies into the To line of a calm compose card, right on the page. They write, press Send, and the message lands in your Framer form inbox. Then the letter folds into a small Sent pill that flies away.
How it works
A real link at rest: your address with the domain quietly greyed. Hover brings it up with a small arrow. Without JavaScript it is still a normal mailto link
A letter, not a form: a subject, topics that start the message, and the greeting already written
Sends from your site: inside a Framer Form it asks where to reply, then submits to your form's inbox. Visitors can also open it in Gmail, filled in
A person behind it: your avatar, your local time and a note on when you reply
What you can set
You: avatar (initial, photo with alt text, or none), name, city, time zone and reply note
Topics: up to five, each with a subject and a first line
Words: every label and message, so it works in any language
Look: Dark, Light or Auto with a full colour set for each, link and letter fonts, width and radius
Behaviour: Gmail, Outlook or the mail app, a softened page behind the letter, the hover arrow and saved drafts
Events: On Sent and On Error, for your own interactions
Built to behave well
Unsent drafts stay on the visitor's device until they send
The address copies with one click from the letter
Keyboard friendly: Esc closes, Cmd or Ctrl + Enter sends, focus returns to the link
Respects reduced motion, fits phones, and opens above everything so no parent can clip it
