About Tear Ticket
Tear Ticket
An event ticket with a perforated stub you tear off by hand. Pull the stub and the paper stretches first, then the tear runs down the perforation with a soft crackle and loose fibres at the edge. Once it comes free, an ink stamp presses onto the ticket.
Made like real card stock
Two paper stocks: a light body and a graphite stub, swapped in the Dark theme
Foil stamping: the title and entry number catch the light as you move the mouse
Print details: a holographic security strip, fine paper grain, a barcode and a pressed edition number
What you can set
Event: edition number, logo, kicker, title, tagline, date, time and venue, each with its own label
Stub: entry number, admit label, seat, ticket number, hint and the stamp left behind
Look: Light, Dark or Auto, every colour for each theme, five foils, holo strip and grain
Shape: stub side and width, padding, radius, notches and perforation
Fonts: title, body and label
Behaviour: tear distance, tilt, keep or drop the stub, auto reset, sound and haptics
Events: On tear and On reattach for your own interactions
Built to behave well
Scales down to fit a phone, and tears with a finger as well as a mouse
Keyboard friendly: Enter tears the stub and puts it back
The sound is synthesized, no audio files; frames run only while something moves
Respects reduced motion, and never tilts on touch
