About Clay Yard
Clay Yard is a website template for pottery studios and anyone else who runs small creative classes: tasters, six-week courses, weekend workshops and open studio memberships. It is light and earthy, with a soft serif, rounded arch-shaped photos and plenty of room for pictures of clay and finished pots.
Classes run from the CMS. Each class has a format, level, dates, time, length, price, spaces left, teacher, what's included and a photo. The home page shows the featured ones and the next class, and the "Upcoming dates" timetable sorts every class by its next date, so updating one date field keeps the whole site in order. Teachers have their own collection with a photo, role, bio and what they teach.
The booking page has a native Framer form for class requests and gift vouchers, with loading, success and error states on the button. Submissions go wherever you point the form: email, a webhook or a Google Sheet.
Pages: Home (with a six-week course timeline, a gallery of finished pieces and a gift voucher section), Classes (full timetable and a card for every class), Teachers, Book a class (form and vouchers), Visit & FAQ (hours, map, parking, what to wear, firing times), Licenses and 404. Every page has its own search title and description and is laid out for desktop, tablet and phone.
Getting started:
Change the colours in Assets → Colors (all named Kiln/...) and the fonts in Assets → Text Styles.
Replace the classes in CMS → Classes. Set "Next date" on each one to sort the timetable, and tick "Featured" for the four on the home page.
Add your teachers in CMS → Teachers.
Set your hours on the "Open now" badge on the home and visit pages, and in the footer.
Open the form on /book, update the class list and choose where submissions go (Form settings → Send to).
Put your address in the map on /visit, then swap the photos for your own.
