Hollybank

Hollybank is a complete Framer website for an early years nursery, and the argument is what the rest of the Education shelf will not print: a fee, a ratio, a place count, and the shape of the day.

Twenty three templates on this shelf carry a Kids tag and eleven of them are free. Not one of the childcare sites sampled publishes a fee, a ratio or a place count anywhere a visitor can reach. Hollybank is a plain administrative register instead.

The home page opens on a single vertical rail, not a headline. Time runs down the left edge from 07:30 to 18:00, each block is one part of the day with its own adult to child ratio, and one continuous shaded band marks the hours funding actually covers.

A second instrument lives on its own page. On the shipped defaults, fifteen funded hours a week for thirty eight weeks is 570 hours a year, stretched across the fifty one weeks a family actually attends that is eleven hours eleven minutes, not fifteen. Meals and registration are charged on every attended day whether funded or not, so the estimate built from the headline $6.50 an hour comes to $9,945 a year; the bill this calculator actually builds comes to $15,983, and the true rate on the hours funding does not touch is $9.27 an hour, not $6.50.

Sixteen pages and seven CMS collections: four rooms with live places-open counts (Hazels reads zero and means it), eight fee lines including the two priced above the hourly rate, three terms plus the thirteen holiday-club weeks, six staff records carrying years in post, four dated notices, and eight questions answered in full. The last inspection is published with both actions raised and what changed since, not reduced to a grade.

Set in Cabinet Grotesk over Familjen Grotesk, whose digits are uniform width, so every table of times and money lines up on its own. Thirteen colour tokens, twelve with a distinct dark value.
