AI isn’t replacing designers.

but ignoring AI is a mistake.

in our latest UnContrad interview, @pizzaboy and @LukeADesign break down what actually protects a creative business:

- strong standards

- better systems

- client-ready brands

the courage to reject “good enough”

what if the reason your work feels generic isn’t your skill…

…but the fact that you keep designing for approval?

@Alex Aperios joined @Daniel G Bright (BrightStudios) and I recently at UnContrad Podcast to unpack how independent designers can build bolder work, pitch stronger ideas, and stop hiding behind “safe” creative choices.

this conversation is for every creative trying to stand out.

Popular opinion: shaders in @Framer are way too much fun :)

Spent some time experimenting with different ideas for the new Brandlystic portfolio, and it's amazing how a few interactive effects can make a design feel so much more alive. Still refining it, but I'm excited to share the final result soon.

I used to think “real” design success meant stacking prestige logos: NFL teams, big tech, shiny startups 🫢

Then I sat down with Brady Patterson, a designer and agency founder in Austin who went from the 49ers, USC, Fox Sports, Apple, and Hulu… to building brands and conversion‑driven websites for roofers, garage door companies, and other blue‑collar businesses.

AI is not my designer... it’s my late‑night thought partner.

Nick (Baked Design) shared with @Daniel G Bright (BrightStudios) and I how he uses AI to think like a dev, design better products, and close higher‑quality clients, while staying tiny on purpose.

New UnContrad episode is live now for indie designers, studio owners, and creators serious about playing the long game.

Most designers want “more clients.”

Nick from BakedDesign hit 170–180K/month in his studio… and realized too many clients nearly broke him. In our upcoming UnContrad conversation, we go deep on:

- Burnout signs he ignored at Meta

- Why he caps revenue around 100–120K/month

- How he rebuilt around freedom, not vanity metrics

This episode might change how you think about “growth.”

Here's what I tried to submit for the @Framer Agents Hackathon.

I appreciate any help from @Framer's support team to finalize my submission.

I took a swing at reimagining the @Framer Merch experience.

So, I redesigned the washed logo cap page to be fully interactive. instead of a static preview, you can personalize it live.

- edit the text

- change colors

- adjust the curve

- drag it around

- rotate it 360°

my submission to the agents' hackathon kept loading for several minutes. I'm not sure if it went through.

Who's the right person to contact on Framer about this?
