Framer AI is impressive — but using it at scale feels like choosing between great results and exploding costs.
I’ve been testing Framer’s native AI agent for building and adapting websites directly in Framer, and the quality is honestly really good. Layout, spacing, responsiveness, and overall polish feel much better than what I get from external-agent workflows.
But the credits disappear fast.
For one site, that might be fine. But if you want to create multiple client previews or personalized landing pages, the cost can quickly become a real issue.
I also tried connecting Codex externally to reduce costs. It works in principle, but it still consumes a lot of tokens, feels much slower, and the results are noticeably weaker than the native Framer agent.
So I’m curious:
How are you using Framer AI for client work without burning through credits too fast?
Are you using templates and only AI for personalization? External tools for copy and structure? Framer AI only for final visual polish?
Would love to hear what workflows others are using.
