Folded Minds — a dark, magazine-style editorial portfolio showcasing three creators built around hand-tracked origami face folding.
A single-page, long-scroll experience with five sections: a Hero intro, three Creator profiles, and a Finale.
The interactive part
It uses your webcam + real-time hand tracking (via MediaPipe) to scrub through face-folding videos as you move your hand.
Closed fist = fold the face; open hand = unfold it. Just move between those two to control the animation.
The control panel (bottom-right)
Look in the bottom-right corner of the screen — that’s the hand-tracker panel showing your webcam feed and the tracking skeleton overlay.
It’s draggable (move it anywhere) and resizable (grab the edge/corner to scale it) so it never blocks the content you’re viewing.
You’ll need to allow camera access when the browser prompts, otherwise tracking won’t start.
Tips for using it
Use it in good lighting and keep your hand clearly in frame for smoother tracking.
Scroll through to see each creator’s section; the interaction works alongside the scrolling experience.
