Standplaats Vlieland

Designed and developed in Framer for Standplaats Vlieland, an artist-in-residence programme on Vlieland initiated by Into The Great Wide Open, Museum Tromp’s Huys and Hi-Lo. From one island, the programme looks out over the whole Wadden region, inviting artists to work with the nature and life of the island. The site introduces the programme, the artists and the places they stay and work.

The artists, news and residency reports all live in the Framer CMS, so the team can add each new edition’s residents and publish their stories as the work develops. Every artist gets a profile with their background, their practice and the project they’re making on the island. Residency reports let the artists document their time on Vlieland in their own words. Long and short residencies each have their own page, and the full site is available in Dutch and English for an international audience. A calm, typography-led layout keeps the focus on the artists and their work, with fully responsive desktop, tablet and phone layouts.
