Question for people building custom Framer components.
How do you actually do it?
Do you already know React/TypeScript, or is it mostly AI + a lot of trial and error?
I recorded a small interaction from another website and asked Codex to recreate it as a Framer component. It works, but getting there took way more iterations than I expected. Explaining every little detail to the AI was probably the hardest part.
Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't think this animation can be built natively in Framer. (If it can, please tell me 😄)
And one more question: do you think custom components like this are actually worth adding to templates, or is it usually overkill?
