About Optimism Mag
Overview
Optimism Mag connects architecture and interior design studios with photographers. I developed the website in Framer, using the Pleasure template as a foundation and adapting its structure to the project’s content and visual requirements. My work included template customization and a dedicated CMS-powered blog.
Framer Development
The implementation extended a photography-focused website with an editorial section. I worked from the supplied template and visual instructions, preserving the established presentation while adding the pages and content connections needed for the blog.
The existing site already used a CMS collection for portfolio content. I built the blog around a separate collection, giving articles their own content structure alongside the photographic work. This allowed the new section to operate within the website without replacing its portfolio system.
CMS & Blog Integration
The required CMS pages could not be transferred directly from the template, so I rebuilt them in Framer to match the template’s presentation. This involved recreating the article-page structure and connecting it to the new collection, rather than simply adding a static page that looked like a blog.
I then linked the CMS content to the blog layouts and article cards. These connections allow new articles to populate the configured pages and cards automatically.
The work addressed both sides of editorial publishing: the collection where articles are created and managed, and the layouts where readers encounter them. Connecting those elements made the blog a functioning publishing system within the existing website.
Outcome
The completed setup enables the client to create and manage articles directly in Framer without manually duplicating individual pages. Delivery included rebuilt CMS pages, a dedicated blog collection, and connected article cards. The website combines photographic portfolio presentation with an editorial section ready for independent publishing.
