Who they are:
Scribe Cartel is the practice of Carmen, a communications strategist and professional writer.
How we work:
Every Sparo project starts with brand and UX strategy. Before anything is designed, we work out who the business needs to reach, what those people need to see and how the brand should make them feel. The brand, the customer journey and the website are all built on that thinking.
The challenge:
Carmen was moving into a new phase of the business and needed her website to start bringing in the right clients straight away. She works solo but delivers end to end through a trusted network, so the brand had to feel bigger than a freelancer without looking like an agency.
What we did:
Strategy. We defined her ideal client as an established service business that has outgrown how it talks about itself. We then positioned Carmen as the strategic partner leading the work, supported by a network around her.
Creative direction. We set a photography direction that shows Carmen thinking, discussing and making decisions, with on-brand stock to show the collaboration around her. Her teal and gold palette was refined and given a deep cherry and a soft lilac, so the site stands apart from the beige that is common in her industry.
Copywriting. Our copywriter wrote the full site around her three services. Clear “for you” and “not for you” sections help the right clients recognise themselves, and every page leads to a free fit check call.
Framer build. We moved her off WordPress onto an editorial Framer site built for long-form reading, with a behind-the-scenes video in the header. Motion is kept light, the type is set in sentence case throughout, and there’s a blog ready for regular content.

We work with businesses that want a brand and website that match the quality of their work.
