Full description:
AuraField turns a static gradient into something that responds. Colored blobs drift gently across the canvas on their own, and the instant your cursor moves, they break from their idle path and follow it fast, fluid, and directly tunable, from a subtle trailing lag to an immediate snap-to-cursor lock. Where blobs overlap near the cursor, their colors blend into new hues rather than just brightening, giving the motion a liquid, alchemical quality instead of a flat spotlight effect.
Every part of the look is exposed as a property no code, no overrides. Three curated palettes (Molten, Glacial, Nebula) get you a finished look in one click, or switch to Custom and set up to ten of your own colors. Built-in film grain and a soft vignette keep it from reading as a flat digital gradient.
Features
Fast, adjustable cursor-following, Always Follow mode tracks the cursor across the entire canvas, with independent controls for pull strength and follow speed (lagging trail → instant snap)
Color blending where blobs converge, not just brightening in place
Three curated palettes, or fully custom colors (up to 10)
2–10 blobs, independently sized and blurred
Film grain and vignette overlays, both toggleable
Four blend modes (Screen, Lighten, Soft Light, Plus Lighter) for different intensities of color mixing
Idle ambient drift, so it's never static even without a cursor present
Respects reduced-motion accessibility settings automatically
Built in pure CSS/JS no WebGL, no GPU context, works reliably even with multiple instances on one page
Best for: SaaS landing pages, product hero sections, portfolio backdrops, agency case studies, event/launch pages anywhere a page needs to feel premium and alive rather than static.
Compatibility note: Uses CSS blend modes and backdrop blur, both well-supported in current Chrome, Edge, Safari, and Firefox. No GPU/WebGL requirement, so it holds up better than shader-based alternatives on lower-end devices.
