I've been thinking a lot about the new Framer Marketplace and wanted to share some feedback.

One of the biggest issues right now is discoverability.

The current search experience feels much harder for non-technical founders. If experienced Framer users struggle to find relevant templates, imagine how difficult it is for founders who simply want a website for their business.

The old category-based browsing made it much easier to discover templates by niche. Now it feels like users need to know exactly what they're searching for.

I'm also concerned about the removal of the review process. As the Marketplace grows, we'll naturally see both high-quality and low-quality templates. Without strong quality control and discovery systems, founders may end up purchasing templates that don't meet expectations, which can reduce trust in the Marketplace over time.

Framer is evolving beyond a website builder. The community side feels closer to X, while the Marketplace is becoming more like Dribbble or Behance. If that's the direction, I think Framer should invest heavily in search, recommendations, ranking algorithms, category navigation, and niche-based discovery—similar to what platforms like Dribbble and Behance have refined over many years.

These are just my thoughts as a creator who's invested in the ecosystem.
