Last few months have been rough as a Framer developer:
A client hasn't paid the other half due for the project and another has not signed off the contract after agreeing to a yearly retainer.
Revenue is paramount to me as much as I would want to present that life is all about design.
So I have decided to move to a subscription model - $250 per month to create, edit or maintain a brand's website in Framer.
Creation: if a business coordinates swiftly, they have their website in a month.
Edit: a monthly retainer for editing a current website or template is a fair ask.
Maintain: the subscription is good value for maintaining pages, making updates and adding blog posts.
What do you feel about this model? If you have tried this before I would love to know its challenges or pitfalls.
