the rule I wish I set from day one:
only hire A players. mid or senior. no exceptions.
juniors aren't bad. but they need mentorship. and mentorship takes time you don't have yet.
I didn't know that. so hired juniors alongside seniors. ended up doing 1-on-1 mentoring myself.
that's not growth. that's a bottleneck. that's just a different job.
juniors make sense when: → income is stable → team is dependable → seniors have bandwidth to mentor
until then — only A players.
