❌ With the current algorithm, you can just spam as many people with follows as you can, and you will almost automatically climb up the ranks and your profile will be seen before everyone else's on the member index by default.
For example if you have an expert profile and spend a couple of hours spam-following 1000 accounts and just 1/3 of them follow you back, as it currently stands, you'll be shown in the first 30 profiles in the first scroll of the expert index page simply because you have more followers than everyone else.
I could be wrong, but your position on the page doesn't seem to have anything to do with the quality of your sites/components/templates or the amount of hires you have or if you are a pro expert vs a regular expert or anything like that.
There's no way this algorithm is going to work long term.
Right now it's a race to the bottom.
