They founded Framer with a belief that design and engineering belonged on the same canvas. Its first version let designers make ideas move, test interactions, and show how a product would feel. Giving designers more control over what they made remained central as Framer grew from prototypes to published websites.

Making ideas interactive

Framer began as a prototyping tool. Designers could animate ideas, test interactions, and show how a product would feel.

Turning designs into live sites

Framer rebuilt the product so teams could design, publish, and update websites from one canvas.

Putting AI to work on the canvas

Framer Agents can design, write, and build directly on the canvas where teams edit and publish websites. Every change stays editable, so teams can refine the result and decide what goes live.
