BUILT FOR JAPANESE — AND THIS IS THE PART NO OTHER TEMPLATE HAS
Japanese has no spaces between words, so a browser breaks a line anywhere it likes. Framer has no setting for it, and no way to put a reading above a word. This template is designed around three free plugins we wrote for exactly that:
・Kumihan — a line breaks only between phrases (ja / zh-hans / zh-hant / th)
・Rubi — a reading above a word: furigana over kanji, pinyin over 汉字
・Waei — the quarter-em of air between Japanese and Latin letters
Install them free from the Marketplace and the Japanese sets correctly on every page. In English the template is unchanged — the plugins simply do nothing.
