Finally launched my first Framer template! 🚀
I built it for thumbnail designers who want a clean, professional portfolio to showcase their work and attract better clients.
Would love to hear your feedback. What niche should I build for next? 👇

I'm curious about this scenario and would love to hear the community's thoughts.
A Framer creator publishes a free portfolio template. I duplicate it into my own workspace and create content (reels/posts) promoting the template. When people comment, I send them my project remix link.
If someone later duplicates the project and upgrades to a Framer paid plan, the referral commission goes to the owner of the shared project link (me), not the original template creator.
I'm not selling the template or claiming that I designed it—I'm simply using it to create content and drive traffic.
In your opinion, is this an acceptable use of a free template and the referral system, or should the commission belong to the original creator?
Interested to hear different perspectives from the community.
