This component is a Google reCAPTCHA v2 checkbox widget that plugs directly into Framer's native form system as a required field. It renders the standard "I'm not a robot" checkbox and blocks form submission until the user has verified themselves. Like the other form components, it works with Framer's free built-in email notifications and Google Sheets integration, no third party tools needed.

Go to Insert → Form Builder in Framer to create a native Framer form on your canvas.
Copy the component code from the site and paste it directly into your Framer project file.
Place the Google reCAPTCHA component inside the Form Builder frame as it will not work outside it.
Go to Google reCAPTCHA Console, create a new site, select reCAPTCHA v2 (checkbox), and add both your staging domain and your published Framer domain to the allowed domains list.
Copy your Site Key from the console and paste it into the Site Key field in the right panel, then choose your preferred Theme (Light or Dark).
Publish your site and test on your live domain. The captcha will not work in Framer's canvas or preview mode, only on the allowed domains you registered.
The component has just two settings, a Site Key field and a Light/Dark theme toggle. The Site Key is the critical part. You need to go to the Google reCAPTCHA Console, create a new site using reCAPTCHA v2 (the checkbox version), and add both your staging domain and your published Framer domain to the allowed domains list. Without your domains registered there, the captcha will throw an error. Note that the component only works on your allowed live domains and will not work inside Framer's canvas preview. It is always required by default so the form cannot be submitted without completing it.
