Four ways to move between slides. A light leak washes in from the edge, a film white flashes through the gate, a cross dissolve, or a straight cut. There is also a reel mode where the strip keeps rolling with frame bars between shots.
Every slide can be an image OR a video, and both get the same film chemistry, the same grain and the same transitions. Photographs are graded once when they load, so the loop only has to compose them; video is graded on the GPU, frame by frame, and only while it is actually on screen. Optionally a video slide holds for its own length instead of the fixed timing.
